Quebecor Out of Home signs agreement with Société de transport de Sherbrooke
The company will manage the advertising spaces on STS buses and transit shelters for 10 years
The Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS) has chosen Quebecor Out of Home to manage and operate the advertising spaces on its 88 buses and 28 transit shelters over the next 10 years, starting February 1, 2018.
This agreement reinforces and expands our positioning in the growing out-of-home market. Quebecor is determined to leverage its resource creativity as a tool for innovation, and the company is putting its expertise and experience at the disposal of the STS to help this network go digital and reach its full advertising potential.
As a concrete example of this ongoing commitment to better serve its clients, Quebecor Out of Home will improve installations in strategic locations throughout the city, as a way of introducing new services to enhance customer experiences. For instance, commuters will have access to bus schedules in real time.
The combination of ad spaces on buses and transit shelters will open up lots of new creative opportunities for advertisers. Because of their strategic locations, these spaces will deliver maximum visibility among drivers, pedestrians and mass-transit users.
This business partnership represents a tremendous opportunity for our sales team in the Sherbrooke area,
says Julie Gagnon, Commercial Development Manager for the Estrie, Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec regions. Our out-of-home offering will make it possible for advertisers to build multiplatform campaigns in synergy with other media from the Quebecor portfolio.
STS President Marc Denault is delighted with this agreement, which allows his organization to maximize the revenue it collects from advertising spaces on its buses and transit shelters. It also fits in perfectly with its bus fleet renewal plan.
Over the past few years, the STS has made significant investments to integrate technological innovations as part of its ongoing customer-experience improvement process, and its vision based on integrated mobility,
comments Mr. Denault. This partnership with Quebecor stems from our respective organizations’ commitment to keep supporting innovation and integrating new technologies in an ongoing effort to keep transit users informed.
