Partnership with Live Nation Concerts, the world leader in concert promotion
The partnership with Live Nation Concerts will give Sports & Entertainment Group access to a wide variety of artists, genres and types of shows and events when scheduling performances at the Québec City Arena.
Live Nation Concerts, the world’s largest producer of shows and tours, promotes 23,000 concerts and events every year and represents 3,000 of the world’s best-known artists, including U2, Coldplay, Nickelback, Def Leppard, Metallica, Arcade Fire, Sting, Lionel Richie, Neil Diamond, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Mumford & Sons, Michael Bublé, Lady Gaga, Usher, One Direction, Pink, Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé, to name just a few. In all, the concerts and events marketed by Live Nation Concerts entertain 60 million fans around the world every year.
Partnership with Ticketmaster, the world leader in ticketing
Under its partnership with Sports & Entertainment Group, Ticketmaster (Admission) will exclusively manage ticketing at the Québec City Arena, selling tickets through the Ticketmaster (Admission) network, on the Québec City Arena’s website and at the box office. Ticketmaster (Admission) will also offer telephone service and call centre services that are among the most efficient in the industry. It will draw on its vast network of points of sale, a full range of marketing tools and an array of proprietary software.
The benefits Ticketmaster (Admission) will provide to guests at the Québec City Arena will include one-stop shopping for tickets, including a complete mobile platform on which users can find, buy and transfer tickets. If they wish, ticketholders will be able to enter the Arena with an e‑ticket saved to their cell phone.
Ticketmaster (Admission) is the global leader in ticketing for shows and events, handling some 400 million tickets to 180,000 events per year. It serves 12,000 clients ‑ amphitheatres, arenas, concert halls ‑ around the world and operates in 19 countries.
Ticketmaster employs 815 people in Canada including 105 employees in Québec City, most of whom develop software to meet the organization’s needs around the world. The Québec City team helps give sports and entertainment organizations access to the best software in the industry. Its products are also developed in French.
