Quebecor sells its Nurun subsidiary to the multinational Publicis Groupe
Quebecor announced today that it has closed the sale of its Nurun subsidiary to the French multinational Publicis Groupe for a cash consideration of CAN$125 million.
This decision is consistent with our desire to focus all our activities on the four lines of business that define our mission of being the Canadian leader in telecommunications, news media and entertainment and culture. We have therefore sold Nurun, a consulting firm specializing in digital innovation, design and technology, since its operations no longer fit with our core businesses. We are confident that Nurun, a respected and profitable firm, will continue to grow as part of Publicis Groupe, a world leader in digital and interactive communications. We thank all of Nurun’s talented employees for their dedication and their contribution to the company’s success. We wish them continued success going forward.
Finally, Quebecor wishes to salute the leadership and vision of Jacques-Hervé Roubert who played a central role in Nurun's growth over the past 14 years, while proving a precious collaborator to everyone in the company.
